Projects
Tools built from real problems.
Most of these started as "there has to be an easier way" at work. Built in evenings, with modern tools that make a one-person team a lot faster.
Sale Manager
Scheduled, store-wide discounts that show on the product, not just in the cart.
Most ecommerce platforms come with promotions built in, like buy one get one or spend-and-save offers. Those only kick in at the cart, once something's added or a condition is met. What they don't do well is a proper store-wide sale: set a specific discount across hundreds of products, show it right on the product page, and have it start and stop on schedule. That's what this does.
- Percentage off, an amount off, or a set sale price
- Applied in bulk, including straight from a CSV file
- Shown on the product itself, not hidden until checkout
- Scheduled to start and end automatically
Analytics Tool
Getting more out of the data a business already has.
Platforms give you their own reports, but they only go so deep. This tool brings the data together so it can be reviewed properly: compared across a range of factors, used to track real return on investment, and dug into in ways the standard dashboards just don't offer.
- Compare performance across lots of different factors
- Track ROI on campaigns and spend
- Deeper analysis than the built-in platform reports
- Store, web and social data side by side
Hue TV Sync
Smart lights that follow what's on screen.
A very simple app for a more cinematic night in. It records a tiny copy of the TV screen and sends the colours to the Philips Hue lights around it, so the room reacts to whatever's playing.
- Uses screen recording to read the picture
- Works with the Hue lighting ecosystem
- Updates the lights many times a second
- One button: on or off
Knee Jar
Experimental electronic music.
Dark, ambient and hard to categorize. No formal training and no rules, just whatever sounds good.
Listen on SoundCloudA game, just for fun
Big battles and strategy, built in Unity.
A third-person game with a heavy focus on large-scale battles and strategy. It's purely a passion project, something I chip away at for the fun of it. The first build is done, and it's now being playtested by a few friends.
